This is otom's first song of 2024, following their previous release Touch in August 2023.
Like before, otom worked on for everything from lyrics and composition to mixing, mastering, and artwork design for Starbright.
Based on phrases created around 2020, then this project began in September 2023, focusing on a live feel and a small ensemble approach, similar to the previous release.
The music features otom's signature sound, including instruments like the Fender Jazzmaster, along with lively and heavy Drum, Also drived Bass.The vocals sing about the contrasts of brightness and darkness one encounters as they grow older and chorus harmony were thoughtfully arranged.
Recording, mindful of the theme of relaxation in daily life, continues in this release as well.

musician, composer. otom was born in tokyo, japan in 1976.
otom sound has been making with guitars, computers, MaxMSP and many musical instruments to create
shoegaze, dream pop, electronica and acoustic sound.
Also otom often makes a experimental, drone, ambient sound and audio/visual works.
And otom keeps influencing those music and movies now.
otom then began to play the guitar when 14 years old.
loved 60's to 70's music, especially important that artists were making beautiful chorus work and like a floating sound.
Then otom met my bloody valentine, flying saucer attack, slowdive, galaxie500... and many electronica artists.
A most important artist is fennesz, so fennesz's sounds made him change an output.
otom made 4albums and 6eps so far, since about 1998.
And also early years, otom has another name that called "alphabet", it changed a name on the first of 2008.
now, otom keeps to making various types of sound with MaxMSP.

オトム

1976年東京生まれ、現在は千葉県在住の日本のミュージシャン。
ギターを中心とした様々な楽器とMac、MaxMSPなどによるプログラミングでの楽曲制作を始め、エフェクターなどのパッチを制作。
シューゲイザー、ドリームポップサウンドを中心に実験音楽、ドローン、エレクトロニック、ノイズ等の音楽を手掛けている。
otom名義での音楽制作の傍ら、映画のサウンドトラック制作等も行っている。
また、音に反応する映像作品や各種ウェブ制作物も請け負っている。
